Tiblow Days kicks off in downtown Bonner Springs tonight.
The annual festival in Bonner Springs will run from Aug. 25 to 27.
The events start with the mayor’s banquet at 6 p.m. Aug. 25 at City Hall. Tickets are required.
A carnival also starts tonight, running from 5 to 10 p.m. Arm bands or tickets may be purchased for rides.
More events are planned Friday at Tiblow Days, with the carnival from 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 26 and vendor booths and food trucks from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The City Band Concert and ice cream social will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Centennial Park.
A free concert and live music by Stolen Winnebagos will continue at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Centennial Park.
Saturday will start with the Tiblow Trot, a 5-mile and 5k run or 2k walk at 7 a.m.
Then the Tiblow Days Parade will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Lions Park to Nettleton, ending at the top of Oak Street.
A car show will follow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday on Cedar Street.
Vendor booths and food trucks will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The carnival will continue from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Local performances are scheduled at 11:15 a.m. at Kelly Murphy Park.
A free concert and live music are scheduled starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Park. Syx Pack will perform at 7 p.m.; Poison Overdose at 8 p.m.; and Motley Crucial at 9 p.m.
