Flash flood warning issued for Wyandotte County
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Wyandotte County until 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across the area, with 1 to 2 inches of rain already falling. Some surrounding areas also are under the flash flood warning.
Periods of thunderstorms may continue through the evening hours, according to the weather service.
Southbound I-635 closed at Missouri River
Southbound I-635 has been reported closed at the Missouri River because of an accident, according to KC Scout. The highway was closed about 3:46 p.m., KC Scout stated. (KC Scout photo)
