Online student receives scholarship from K-State

Alicia Pena, a master’s student in teaching from Kansas City, Kansas, has received the K-State Global Campus Scholarship for Distance Education Students.

She is one of more than 120 students attending online classes from Kansas State University who have received fall semester scholarships ranging from $600 to $1,500 each.

The online students are predominately adults attending classes part time while balancing work and family responsibilities. The scholarships are available to both part-time and full-time students to provide more individuals the opportunity to earn a degree at their own pace.
