A meeting to consider restoring the Bonner Springs Historical Preservation Society will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Bonner Springs Library, 201 N. Nettleton.
The society has not been active in about a decade, with its main activity then working on getting the old Bonner Springs High School 1918 building listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
Since January 2016, the Bonner Springs Library has held a Saturday morning coffee by the fireplace to discuss local history.
Several board members from the Historical Preservation Society are active in that group, and the plan to bring back the society came out of these discussions.
