KCK schools did not cancel activities in wake of Missouri threat

The Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools did not close down in the wake of a threat coming from the Blue Springs, Missouri, area today.

Several schools in Missouri and some in Johnson County, Kansas, closed their activities because of an online threat.

A man was arrested in Missouri in connection with the threat this morning.

The KCK schools posted a social media comment that they were aware of the threat and were monitoring it. It appeared the threat was centered around the Blue Springs area, the KCKPS comment continued, and the KCK schools would continue to monitor the situation.

All activities that were scheduled in the Kansas City, Kansas, school will continue on Wednesday, according to the social media post.
