KCK police arrest homicide suspect

Kansas City, Kansas, police have arrested a suspect in relation to the Nov. 21 homicide of Loren Flores, 23, a resident.

Miguel Flores, 32, was arrested and charged in Wyandotte County, a police spokesman stated.

Flores, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, is currently charged with first-degree murder by the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s office, according to the spokesman. He is currently being held in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

According to the spokesman, detectives said the couple were married but in the process of a divorce when he shot his estranged wife outside a residence. Flores then fled the scene, but was taken into custody a short time later by police, the spokesman stated.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, according to the spokesman. All tips will remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash award, police stated.
