A Wyandotte County District Court jury on Sept. 25 convicted Denis Alfaro, 27, of Kansas City, Kansas, of one count of first-degree murder.
The case was in connection with the death of Mike Arita-Hurtado in January 2018 in the 2900 block of Oakland Avenue.
There is no sentencing date yet, according to the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s office.
