Four KCK residents honored for leadership at Park University

Four persons from Kansas City, Kansas, were honored with leadership awards at Park University, Parkville, Missouri.

The award presentation was originally scheduled in April, but was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Brianna Ayala-Ramirez, a junior majoring in psychology from Kansas City, Kansas, received the Dr. Doris Howell Leadership Award. Ayala-Ramirez attended Wyandotte High School.

• Cynthia Villeda, a junior majoring in nursing from Kansas City, Kansas, received the Dr. Doris Howell Leadership Award. Villeda attended Wyandotte High School.

• Sophie Roper, a sophomore majoring in business administration and computer information management and logistics from Kansas City, Kansas, was named an outstanding sophomore class member. This award goes to one male and one female student from the junior and sophomore classes who best represent their class in service to and participation in Park University. Roper attended Piper High School.

• Bridget Locke of Kansas City, Kansas, director of strategic communications at Park University, received the Dusing-Proudfoot Award. This award is given to honor an outstanding contribution by a Park University faculty or staff member.
