A fatal accident was reported at 6:09 p.m. Oct. 30 at 110th and Leavenworth Road, according to a Kansas City, Kan., Police Department spokesman.
Officers, arriving at the scene, found a man trapped under a vehicle, dead from his injuries, the spokesman said.
The driver was driving a white 1993 International utility truck westbound on Leavenworth Road, police said. The driver lost control of the vehicle, it left the roadway and overturned in a ditch, the spokesman said.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending positive identification and family notification, police said.
There were rainy conditions on Friday afternoon and evening.
The accident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team.
