Crash reported on I-70 near 38th

A crash was reported at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, on westbound I-70 near 38th Street, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.

A Ford Expedition was westbound on I-70 when it hit a GMC Envoy that was disabled in the lane of travel, the trooper’s report stated.

The driver of the Ford Expedition, a 32-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, had no apparent injury, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the GMC Envoy, a 57-year-old man from Grain Valley, Missouri, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.

Accident reported on I-70 at 18th

An accident at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, on westbound I-70 at 18th in Kansas City, Kansas, resulted in a possible serious injury, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

A Hyundai Elantra was northbound on 18th, exiting to westbound I-70, when it traveled off the roadway and struck a concrete barrier, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 34-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was injured and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.

Driver crashes after falling asleep on I-35

The driver of a Ford F-150 truck had possible serious injuries after falling asleep Monday morning on the Southwest Boulevard ramp at southbound I-35 in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

The 22-year-old Independence, Missouri, man was injured and taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.

The F-150 was on the entrance ramp from Southwest Boulevard to southbound I-35 at 6:20 a.m. Jan. 10, according to the report.

The driver fell asleep, the trooper’s report stated. The vehicle crossed a raised concrete divider crossing the exit lanes, left the roadway and struck several trees, according to the trooper’s report.
