Medical clinic, church team up to provide fresh food for residents

Mercy and Truth Medical Missions joined with Church of the Resurrection’s Mobile Food Pantry to serve 34 families or 165 individuals on Tuesday. They distributed approximately 1,386 pounds of food. Benefit concert today for homeless children

Metropolitan Baptist Church, 853 Washington Blvd., Kansas City, Kansas, will be the site of a benefit concert for children who are experiencing homelessness in the Kansas City, Kansas, school district.

The concert will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19. The concert will be in person and also streamed live. Proceeds will go to the McKinney-Vento fund of the KCK school district, which helps students who do not have a fixed, regular, nighttime residence.
