KCK students receive degrees

Three Kansas City, Kansas, students have received degrees from Graceland University this spring.

The students who received degrees are Santina Hernandez, Kansas City, Kansas; Angela Hopkins, Kansas City, Kansas; and Patricia Thomas, Kansas City, Kansas.

Founded in 1895 and sponsored by the Community of Christ, Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, has campuses in Lamoni, and also in Independence, Missouri.

KCK student named to honors list

Luke Johnson, Kansas City, Kansas, has been named to the spring 2022 Honors list at Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska.

More than 200 students were honored. Students who earned a 3.9 GPA or higher while also completing at least 12 credit hours qualified for the honors list.

Concordia University, Nebraska, founded in 1894, is a fully accredited, coeducational university located in Seward, Nebraska, which currently serves more than 2,500 students. It provides a Christ-centered education, and it was founded to equip students for learning, service and leadership in the Lutheran church and the world.

KCK student honored at scholarship dinner

Emily Van Eijndt of Kansas City, Kansas, received the Journey Scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year from Central College for a high commitment to academic achievement.

Van Eijndt is a member of the class of 2024 at Central in Pella, Iowa.

The scholarship celebration also recognized the alumni, parents, friends faculty and staff who support scholarships for Central students. A video was shown during the dinner highlighting Central’s newest endowed scholarship.
