KCK school board to meet July 3

The Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Education has called a special meeting for 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the third floor board room, Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools Central Office, 2010 N. 59th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

The board will hear a report on teacher negotiations and review budget decisions for 2018-2019.

The board also is expected to discuss and take action on the human resources report and salary schedules that were presented and tabled at the June 26 regular meeting.

They also will discuss school security.

The board also has scheduled a closed, executive session July 3 to discuss teacher negotiations, confidential personnel information and to review salaries and benefits of identifiable individuals.

Dean’s list at USM includes 25 Wyandotte County students

The spring dean’s honor list at the University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth, includes 25 students from Wyandotte County.

Students on the dean’s list included those with a grade point average of 3.5 or better.

The University of Saint Mary is a Catholic co-educational applied liberal arts university founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. The main campus is in Leavenworth, with a satellite campus in Overland Park, and programs also offered online.
