Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department have identified the body recovered from the Kansas River on Saturday as 20-year-old Johnathan Devol, of Independence, Missouri.
Devol was last seen Sunday, Oct. 16, near the Kansas River below the 12th Street Bridge in Kansas City, Kansas. Initial autopsy results indicate the death was accidental, a police spokesman stated..
This incident remains under investigation by the KCKPD Major Case Unit, according to the spokesman.
