Due to the winter weather advisory forecast for this week, which includes freezing temperatures, KCKPS will transition to remote work, teaching, and learning beginning Tuesday, Feb. 9, through Thursday, Feb. 11. No students should report to school, according to a spokesman.
Family Advocate Day is Friday, Feb. 12, as scheduled. This means no school for students.
Curbside pickup and meal delivery will continue during remote learning and district offices will be open for business. Essential workers will seek guidance from their supervisor regarding Plan C.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Education will meet as regularly scheduled at 5 p.m. Tuesday in a remote Zoom meeting. Details on the agenda are posted at www.kckps.org.
