Kansas City Kansas Community College is presenting its monthly program, “Small Changes, Big Shifts” next week.
The event is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in Room 2325 on the KCKCC main campus, 7250 State Ave. The event is open to the community and is co-hosted by Women and Gender Advocacy, the Counseling and Advocacy Center, Student Health Services and the KCKCC Wellness and Fitness Center.
“Small Changes, Big Shifts” is being presented by Dr. Michelle Robin, chiropractor and founder of Your Wellness Connection. Located in Shawnee, Kansas, it is one of the most successful integrative healing centers in the United States.
She focuses on disciplines such as chiropractic, Chinese medicine, massage therapy, energy therapy and counseling, among others. She is also an international speaker and author of several books including “Wellness on a Shoestring: Seven Habits for a Healthy Life” and “The Wellness Shoestring Program,” among others.
In early 2017, Robin embarked on a goal to reach one million people with how making small changes can create big shifts in terms of well-being. In doing so, it makes wellness realistic for everyone no matter where they are on the wellness spectrum.
In addition, the Masters Circle recognized Robin as the Chiropractor of the Year in 2007 and has also been named as one of the Kansas City Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” in 2003.
