Weather warming up a little on Wednesday

Temperatures will reach a high of 51 on Wednesday, as the weather starts a warming trend, according to the National Weather Service.

The temperature was 35 at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday will see a high in the mid-60s, but Saturday, a cold front will drop temperatures to a high near 46, the weather service said.

The weather is expected to remain dry throughout the next several days, according to the weather service. However, there is a 20 percent chance of rain mixing with snow on Friday night.

The long-range forecast through Dec. 21 shows temperatures here will remain above normal, with precipitation above normal in the next two weeks.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 51 and a calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 40, according to the weather service. A south southeast wind of 7 to 11 mph will gust as high as 26 mph.

Thursday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 64, the weather service said. A south wind of 5 to 10 mph will become light and variable in the afternoon, with winds gusting up to 23 mph.

Thursday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 38, according to the weather service. A calm wind will become east 5 to 8 mph after midnight.

Friday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 63, the weather service said. An east wind of 8 to 10 mph will become west in the afternoon, with winds gusting up to 21 mph.

Friday night, there is a 20 percent chance of rain, mixing with snow after 11 p.m., then gradually ending, according to the weather service. The low will be around 30.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 46, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be clear, with a low of 32, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be sunny, with a high near 55, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be clear, with a low of 38, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be sunny, with a high near 59, the weather service said.

Monday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 44, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 66, the weather service said.
