Several KCK students on Rockhurst University dean’s list

Several students from Kansas City, Kansas, have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Missouri.

The students have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

Rockhurst is a Catholic Jesuit university that is consistently named to the top Midwest regional universities by U.S. News and World Report.

KCK school board to meet tonight

School reopening plans and many other topics are on the agenda for tonight’s Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Education meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12.

The meeting will be carried on Zoom and is accessible from the school district’s webpage at www.kckps.org.

Among several topics on the agenda are an update on athletics; a discussion of the “Safe and Welcoming Wyandotte” proposal; an update on the superintendent search; an audit presentation; and a report on the strategic planning initiative.

Board members will hear a report about sports, including wrestling, and a proposal could be presented to the board.
