Felony theft was reported on Nov. 17 in the 2000 block of North 45th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
A resident told officers his roommate moved out of the residence and took a large amount of property that did not belong to the person, according to the report.
Accident, possession of stolen auto on Leavenworth Road
Officers were sent to 81st and Leavenworth Road, where there had been a crash on Nov. 17, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers found that the driver of a stolen vehicle had fled and had crashed into another vehicle after driving erratically, according to the report. The driver and passenger fled on foot but were taken into custody, the report stated.
The driver was admitted to a hospital after stating he had ingested a large amount of narcotics, according to the report.
A red flag warning is in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Critical fire weather conditions exist today, with strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures contributing to the risk of fires, the weather service said.
