KCK school listening tour meeting to be Oct. 3

A listening tour for the Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Washington High School, 7340 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas.

The meeting will include Dr. Charles Foust, superintendent, and school district officials. Parents and the community may attend the meeting.

Other Listening and Learning Tour dates include: 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Wyandotte High School recital hall, 2501 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas; 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Schlagle High School, 2214 N.59th St., Kansas City, Kansas; and 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Sumner Academy of Arts and Science, 1610 N. 8th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

UG committees to meet Monday

Two Unified Government committees are scheduled to meet Monday in the fifth floor conference room, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

The Neighborhood and Community Development Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Monday. On the agenda is a grant from the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City, and Land Bank items.

The UG Economic Development and Finance Committee will meet after the end of the NCD meeting. On the agenda for the EDF meeting is a presentation of the Metropolitan Avenue Redevelopment Project, which includes a fast-food restaurant on the southeast corner of 21st and Metropolitan.
