The Legends Outlets will add four new retailers during spring and summer, according to a spokesman.

HomeGoods, which has been under construction for some months at the northeast end of The Legends Outlets in western Wyandotte County, is expected to open in May, according to the spokesman.

Near T.J. Maxx and Forever 21, the HomeGoods store will be 20,097 square feet of home décor and furnishings. The store will carry high-quality furniture, lighting, rugs, kitchen essentials, bath and bedding items, according to the spokesman.

The Dapper Doughnut is another new retailer opening in May, the spokesman said.

The store at the Legends Outlet will be the company’s first location in the Kansas City area. It has several other locations through the United States.

The Dapper Doughnut specializes in hot, mini doughnuts made throughout the day. The cake doughnuts are decorated with the customer’s choice of toppings and sauces. The store also offers coffee, teas and milkshakes.

The Dapper Doughnut’s 507-square-foot retail space will be at 1811 Village West Parkway, Suite O-123.

Journeys, a footwear store, will open in June at The Legends Outlets, the spokesman said.

The 2,300-square-foot store will carry footwear and accessories including a variety of trendy, relevant brands that cater to teens who seek the hottest, newest styles, including Vans, Converse, TOMS, Sperry, UGG, adidas, Fila, New Balance and Timberland.

Specialty items such as T-shirts, backpacks, hats, socks and shoe laces also will be available at Journeys. The store’s location is 1843 Village West Parkway, Suite C-121.

The fourth new addition to The Legends Outlets will be Sweet Charlie’s, according to the spokesman.

This rolled ice cream store was previously announced as Freezing Rolls, but now has a new name. The 2,995-square-foot store will serve made-to-order ice cream and frozen yogurt using a cold metal surface below 20 degrees.

There will be no need to add stabilizers, emulsifiers and preservatives, making it a fresh, healthy product.

Sweet Charlie’s is expected to open later this year at 1843 Village West Parkway, Suite M-107.

The Legends Outlets is near I-435 and I-70 in Kansas City, Kansas.
