Donnelly College prepares for discussion of pope’s writings on environment

People around Donnelly College were very excited about Pope Francis’ visit to the United States.

Donnelly’s president, Monsignor Stuart Swetland, frequently talks about Pope Francis and how Donnelly is the type of institution that the pope wants to see in the world: a college serving everyone, especially those who might not otherwise be served.

Donnelly is gearing up for an event to discuss topics discussed by the pope this Wednesday evening, Sept. 30, called Donnelly Talks: Answering Pope Francis’ Call on the Environment.

Monsignor Swetland will join Rabbi Moti Rieber of Kansas Interfaith Power and Light to discuss the changing climate in a free event. It begins at 7 p.m. in Donnelly’s Community Event Center. It is open to the public.
