June 26th golf classic to feature Sisters, Servants of Mary in putting contest
A putting contest involving the Sisters, Servants of Mary in their black and white habits promises to be a highlight of this year’s 20th golf classic on Friday, June 26, at Painted Hills Golf Course, 7101 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan.
Registration and lunch are from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. At 12:20 p.m., the Sisters will participate in the putting contest. Golf gets under way at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the benefit event will go toward renovating the Sisters’ convent in Kansas City, Kan.
The Men’s Support Group of the Sisters, Servants of Mary serves as host for the golf classic. The Sisters, Servants of Mary provide in-home nursing care for the homebound and seriously ill throughout the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area, free of charge. Police recover stolen vehicles
Kansas City, Kan., police said on Monday that all the vehicles and trailers that had been reported stolen over the weekend have been found at a location and have been accounted for.
Some stolen property, including vehicles and trailers, was found in the South 93rd Street area in the Edwardsville area, according to police, and several vehicles were recovered.
