Democrats to meet Saturday
The Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast will meet Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Eisenhower Room of the Hilton Garden Inn, 520 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan.
The breakfast buffet is available at 8:15 a.m. and the forum begins at 9:15 am.
Guest speakers will be Dennis Anderson, Kansas insurance commissioner candidate; and Carmen Alldritt, Kansas treasurer candidate. A.J. Kotich, Kansas attorney general candidate, will attend.
The cost of the breakfast buffet is $10, or $7 for students and those on limited incomes. All Democrats are invited to attend.

Roberts to hold town hall meeting today
Sen. Pat Roberts will hold a town hall meeting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Bonner Springs Community Center, 200 E. 3rd St., Bonner Springs.
Roberts will listen to comments at the meeting.
The meeting is open to the public.
