Wyandotte County residents may take tree limbs to recycling center on Park Drive

As snow from last weekend’s winter storm is partially melted, some residents are picking up tree limbs that fell.

According to the Unified Government, residents may take their fallen tree limbs to the Wyandotte County Yard Waste and Recycling Center, 3241 Park Drive, Kansas City, Kansas.

The Kansas City, Kansas, crews will not be picking up storm debris this time, according to the spokesman. The exceptions are if trees and limbs are obstructing streets, major roads or thoroughfares.

The Yard Waste and Reycling Drop Off Center will be open for Wyandotte County residents from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 25, 26 and 27, according to the UG. The center does not accept stumps and logs larger than 12 inches in diameter or items more than four feet long.

Residents will be asked to show proof of residency, such as a driver’s license. Commercially generated yard waste will not be accepted.
