The winter speaker series at Grinter Place, a state historic site, 1420 S. 78th St., Kansas City, Kansas, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.
Louise Crable will speak on “Spring Foraging in the Time of Annie Grinter.” She may discuss plants used for food, elixirs, tonics and restorative medicines. The free program will last about 30 minutes, followed by questions and answers.
Doughnuts, coffee and juice will be available, and tours of Grinter Place, which was built in 1857, will be given after the program for $6 for adults and $3 for children. Programs are planned on the second Saturday of the month.
