Winning $1 million Powerball ticket sold in northeast Kansas

There is a new millionaire after a $1 million winning Powerball ticket sold in northeast Kansas was drawn last night, according to the Kansas Lottery.

The ticket was sold in northeast Kansas, which encompasses 21 counties, including Wyandotte County, according to the lottery.

The first five numbers, but not the Powerball number, were matched to win a $1 million prize. The winning number for the Feb. 22 drawing were 10-13-28-52-61 Powerball 2.

The Powerball jackpot was won in Indiana for $435.3 million, and it was the seventh largest in Powerball history. The Powerball jackpot now returns to $40 million, with a cash option of $24.2 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot in Friday night’s drawing is $64 million, with a cash prize of $38.5 million.
