Wyandotte County will see windy weather today, the National Weather Service says.
Residents can expect sustained winds between 8 and 13 mph and gusts to 21 mph.
With a temperature of 41 degrees at 9 a.m., and a high of 54 expected today, any precipitation during the day should be rain.
A slight chance of showers is possible after 5 p.m., the weather service said.
Rain is expected to mix with or change over to snow tonight, after midnight. Just a dusting of snow is expected in Wyandotte County, according to the weather service. Tonight’s low will be 27.
Areas to the north of Kansas City, in Nebraska and Iowa, may receive up to a half-inch of snow, the weather service said.
Wednesday, the high will be near 33, with cloudy skies and a northwest wind of 10 to 17, gusting to 26, according to the weather service.
Wednesday night, expect a low of 20, the weather service said.
Thursday, there will be sunny skies with a high near 43 and a west southwest wind of 6 to 11 mph, according to the weather service.
Thursday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 23, the weather service said.
Friday’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 45. Friday night, the low will be around 27, the weather service said.
Saturday, it will be sunny with a high near 49, according to the weather service.
