As today’s high climbs to 68, gusty southerly winds as high as 24 mph will persist through the afternoon and evening hours Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
The middle part of April is expected to bring a high chance of below normal temperatures across the area, the weather service said.
Normal temperatures for this area in mid April are middle 60s for high temperatures and middle 40s for low temperatures, so expect lower than those normals mid-month, according to the weather service.
While it is not in the official forecast as of now, it will be possible to see a late season frost or freeze, which may affect regional vegetation, the weather service said. Slightly above-normal precipitation is expected for the same time period.
Today, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 68 and a south southwest wind of 9 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 60 and a south southwest wind of 10 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph, according to the weather service.
Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78 and a south southwest wind of 10 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph, the weather service said.
Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 52 and a calm wind, according to the weather service.
Wednesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 77, the weather service said. A calm wind will become northwest 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon, with winds gusting as high as 20 mph.
