Windy weather is in today’s forecast from the National Weather Service.
After rain and storms on Friday, Saturday’s weather is sunny and windy, gusting up to 32 mph, the weather service said.
Tornadoes were reported Friday night east of Wichita, Andover and at Enterprise, Kansas, which is west of Junction City and east of Abilene.
Showers and thunderstorms will return to the area on Monday, according to the weather service, with a strong storm possible.
Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 67, the weather service said. It will be breezy, with a west wind of 10 to 20 mph, gusting as high as 32 mph.
Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 47, according to the weather service. A west wind of 10 to 14 mph will gust as high as 29 mph.
Sunday, it will be sunny, with a high near 70 and a west wind of 10 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 23 mph, the weather service said.
Sunday night, there is a 20 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 49 with a west northwest wind of 6 mph, becoming calm.
Monday, there is a 90 percent chance of showers, with possibly a thunderstorm after 10 a.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 66 with an east wind of 7 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph. Between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible.
Monday night, there is a 90 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be near 51, with between three-quarters and one inch of rain possible.
Tuesday, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 61, the weather service said.
