Thursday, another nice day will be in the forecast, with sunny skies and a high near 73, the weather service said. Light and variable wind on Thursday will change to east around 6 mph in the morning.
Thursday night’s forecast is mostly clear with a low of 50.
Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 75, the weather service said. Friday night, the low will be around 56.
Saturday’s forecast is a high of 78 with partly sunny skies. Saturday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the weather service.
Thunderstorms will make their return to the area possibly on the weekend, mainly along and north of Interstate 70, according to the weather service. These storms are not anticipated to be severe. While there may be a slight chance of rain on Friday, that is not yet certain.
Expect this chance of scattered storm activity to persist through the weekend, the weather service said. Forecasters are not anticipating a complete washout, but off-and-on storms are expected. They are not anticipating widespread severe weather this weekend.
More widespread thunderstorms are expected by early to mid week next week.
