According to the National Weather Service, an upper trough that slowly moved over the region the last two days now has moved east, no longer influencing the area.
An upper ridge over the western half of the United States is beginning to build eastward, the weather service said. Winds will begin to have more of a westerly component later today, and then through the remainder of the forecast, take on a more southerly direction, according to the weather service. Warmer temperatures and higher dewpoints will move northward into the area.
While today’s temperatures will be near normal for this time of year, Thursday through the beginning of next week will be slightly above normal, the weather service said.
Rain is not expected through the remainder of the week and weekend, according to the weather service. Rain could be possible Monday into Tuesday.
Today, the forecast is sunny with a high near 89 and a west wind of 3 to 7 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight, it will be clear, with a low around 66 and a southwest wind of 6 mph, according to the weather service.
Thursday, it will be sunny with a high of 92, and a southwest wind of 5 to 7 mph, the weather service said.
Thursday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 68 and a south southwest wind of around 7 mph, according to the weather service.
Friday, it will be sunny with a high near 94, and a south wind of 5 to 11 mph, the weather service said.
Friday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 71, according to the weather service.
