A forecast update from the National Weather Service calls for a 40 percent chance of rain today after 4 p.m., and possibly freezing rain around 9 p.m.
The temperature at 3 p.m. was 38 degrees. According to the weather service, there is still a possibility of snow and sleet later tonight when temperatures fall below freezing.
Around 9 p.m. Friday, the temperature is expected to be 32 degrees, according to the forecast. At midnight, it may be 31 degrees, the weather service stated.
There may be rain and sleet before 4 a.m. Saturday, followed by snow and sleet between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday, according to the weather service. Some freezing rain is possible after 5 a.m.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the weather service.
During the day on Saturday, there is a chance of rain or freezing rain before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow between 11 a.m. and noon, the weather service said. The day’s high will be 34 degrees.
Saturday night, the low will be 13, and Sunday, the high will be near 17, with no precipitation, the weather service said. There will be wind gusts as high as 21 mph Sunday. Sunday night, the low will be about 4.
