The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Wyandotte County in effect from 11:06 p.m. until 11:45 p.m.
Heavy rains were falling at 11:10 p.m. in Wyandotte County.
Weather radar was tracking strong thunderstorms at 10:53 p.m. along a line from 6 miles northeast of Easton to DeSoto to 6 miles southeast of Edgerton, moving east at 45 mph, the weather service said.
Hail up to a half-inch in diameter and wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected with these storms, according to the weather service.
