Walters studio wins top award at Heart of America DanceSport Championship

The Walters Dance Studio from Wyandotte County recently was named top studio at the Heart of America DanceSport Championships held last week in Kansas City, Mo.

Walters Dance Studio instructors include Shari Augustine, Shelley Judd, Kim Turner, and Mark Harris. One of the teachers responsible for this award, Shari Augustine, a resident of Edwardsville, Kansas, teaches at Walters Dance Studio. She has been going there for 28 years.

This is the 44th annual Heart of America DanceSport Championship. The event was started by the original founders of the Walters Dance Studio, Leroy and Jerry Walters, before they sold the studio to Mark and Mary Harris.
