Walmart reopens after bomb scare

Walmart at The Legends has reopened after a bomb scare this afternoon, according to a police spokesman.

Police responded to a call about a bomb at 4:14 p.m. Sunday at the store at 10824 Parallel Parkway. No explosives were found, according to police.

The city of Shawnee helped provide a bomb dog to assist in the investigation, according to police.

Kansas City, Kansas, police are still investigating the incident and are encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
