Victims of triple homicide identified

Police have released the names of three persons, including one woman and two children who we died on Monday morning in the 100 block of North Mill Street in Kansas City, Kansas.

Firefighters found the bodies of three persons after a fire about 5 a.m. Dec. 30 at a home near North Mill and Ridge, according to the police spokesman. The case is being investigated as a homicide after an initial investigation, police said.

The victims were identified as Yazmin Rodriguez, female, age 31; Amerikha Rodriguez, female, age 14; and Jean Carlo Rodriguez, male, age 10, police stated.

Police took a suspect into custody, and charges are pending review by the district attorney’s office, the police spokesman stated. According to the police spokesman, this incident originated from a previous dating relationship.
