The victim of a fatal crash on westbound K-32 near 102nd Street was identified today, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The victim was Shannon L. Lofton, 39, a man from Lenexa, Kansas, according to the trooper’s report.
Lofton was a passenger in a Dodge Avenger driven by a 66-year-old Bonner Springs, Kansas, man. The driver was taken to the hospital.
According to the trooper’s report, the Avenger was eastbound on K-32 about 11:50 a.m. March 21 when it crossed the center line, for an unknown reason. It hit a semi truck at an offset head-on, the report stated.
The driver of the semi, a40-year-old man from Leavenworth, Kansas, was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.
