The victim of a homicide on Sunday evening on North 10th Street has been identified, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department spokesman.
The victim was Teresa Jones, 50, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, police said.
At 4:56 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to 15 N. 10th St., where they found an adult female deceased inside an apartment, police stated.
A suspect fled on foot, but was located a short time later and taken into custody, according to the spokesman.
Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, police said.
