The victim of a homicide in the 5500 block of Leavenworth Road has been identified by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim was William Bryant, 30, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, according to police.
A police spokesman said a person of interest is in custody.
Police were called to the scene of the shooting about 5 p.m. Aug. 15. They discovered a man who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said.
