The victim of a homicide on Oct. 18 at 32nd and Sloan has been identified, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim was Calvin Cofield, 36, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, a police spokesman stated.
Cofield was found lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. Police had responded to a dispatched call about a deceased individual.
There are no suspects in custody, according to police.
Cofield was the 44th homicide of 2020 in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating. Police asked anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
