Victim of fatal shooting on Farrow identified

The victim of a fatal shooting Wednesday in the 6400 block of Farrow Avenue has been identified, according to police.

The victim was Mark Winner, 50, of Kansas City, Kansas, a police spokesman stated.

He was found dead from a gunshot wound, inside his home, according to police. Police had been called to the 6400 block of Farrow about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 31.

The initial police statement on Wednesday was that an argument had broken out among individuals in the yard of the victim’s neighbor. People involved in that argument exchanged gunfire, according to the initial report.

Initial reports stated that the man who suffered the fatal bullet wound was a bystander not involved in the argument.

No arrests have been made at this time, police stated.
