The victim of a fatal shooting on Sunday, May 6, in the 7700 block of Yecker Avenue has been identified, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
The victim was identified as Gabriel Jackson-Lewis, 25, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, the police spokesman stated.
Police responded to the 77th and Yecker area about 1:11 p.m. Sunday, and found a man who had been shot. The man was taken to a hospital, where he died, the spokesman stated.
The spokesman stated that a person of interest is in custody and no formal charges had been filed as of this morning.
