The victim of a fatal accident on Tuesday, May 24, has been identified as Cleo Williams, 62, a resident of Kansas City, Kan., police said.
Williams was trying to start his car by putting it in gear from the engine compartment when a device holding the brake slipped, causing the car to roll forward, over him, according to the preliminary police investigation into the case. The investigation stated it was due to mechanical failures on the car, according to police.
Kansas City, Kan., police had been called to the 1000 block of Washington in Kansas City, Kan., about 6:11 a.m. Tuesday and found Williams dead from the accident.
