The identity of the victim of a fatal accident at I-635 and Leavenworth Road has been released by police.
According to a police spokesman, the victim was Shannon E. Keithley, 39, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas.
Keithley was traveling in a black sport utility vehicle that collided with a pillar of the I-635 overpass at 5:09 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, police stated. The SUV was eastbound when it left the roadway and struck the pillar, according to an initial investigation.
The accident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Trffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team.
Shannon is was my biological oldest little sister. She will always be remembered and loved. Please think of her, (even briefly) during the eclipse.
