Father Tom Kearns, an 82-year-old priest, was robbed and injured Friday afternoon outside of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2203 Parallel Ave., Kansas City, Kan.
According to Barbara Bailey, the church’s pastoral assistant, he was scheduled to undergo surgery at a hospital.
According to a spokesman with the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department, they currently have four persons of interest that they are looking at. As of 3 p.m. Monday, no formal charges have been filed, the spokesman said.
