Very cold temperatures continue today

It is very cold outside this morning with temperatures in the negative single digits and wind chills between -5 and -15 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures today will remain cold in the teens with lows in the single digits tonight, the weather service said.

A warming trend will begin tomorrow and by Sunday most will see high temperatures above freezing, according to the weather service.

In Wyandotte County, today will be sunny with a high near 17, the weather service said. Wind chill values will be between minus 4 and 6. A calm wind will become northwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of 6, according to the weather service. Wind chill values will be between minus 2 and 3. A south southwest wind will be 3 to 5 mph.

Saturday, the forecast will be sunny with a high near 30, the weather service said. Wind chill values will be between minus 1 and 9. A light and variable wind will become southwest around 6 mph in the morning.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 12, according to the weather service. There will be a light and variable wind.

On Sunday, expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 35, the weather service said. A south wind will be 5 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 21 mph.

Sunday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 24, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 44, according to the weather service. Monday night’s low will be around 36.

Tuesday, it will be mostly cloudy with a high of 47, according to the weather service, and Tuesday night’s low will be around 22.

Wednesday, expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 43.
