Vehicle fire inside body shop rapidly extinguished

Kansas City, Kansas, firefighters rapidly extinguished a fire at 12:23 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at an auto body shop at 1907 Quindaro Blvd.

A vehicle caught fire inside the auto body shop, according to Fire Department spokesman Scott Schaunaman. The cause of it catching fire is under investigation, he added.

Workers from the shop were evacuated, with no injuries reported, he stated.

The extent of the damage is being determined, and is thought to be at a minimum with the rapid extinguishment of the fire, he stated.
