Kansas City, Kansas police responded to a shooting about 9:03 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in the 5400 block of Leavenworth Road, according to a police spokesman
The shooting victim was a male who had been shot, according to police. The victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, police stated.
According to a police spokesman, the shooting was in the parking lot of the Happy Foods North grocery store near 55th and Leavenworth Road. There was a disturbance in the east parking lot of the store before the shooting happened, according to police.
Police stated they have not yet confirmed a motive for the shooting.
