UG sets deadline for CDBG applications

The Unified Government has set the dates for the Community Development Block Grant fund applications.

Applications for CDBG funds will be accepted from April 8 through noon Friday, April 29. Application forms are at www.wycokck.org or available by calling 913-573-5100, or at the UG Community Development Department office.

Areas that are eligible for CDBG funding include public services, public facilities and improvements, acquisition-rehabilitation or reconstruction of existing housing and economic development.

A community forum on the 2017 CDBG grant application process will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the fifth floor conference room, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kan. Information will be available at the forum about the federal regulations, local requirements and application deadlines.

Applications and documents may be submitted through email to [email protected]. The certification page and conflict of interest questionnaire with original signatures must be received through the U.S. mail or hand-delivered no later than noon Friday, April 29, to Community Development Department, 701 N .7th St., Room 823, Kansas City, Kan.

(CDBG) FUNDING

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas is accepting applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding starting April 8, 2016 until 12:00 Noon Friday, April 29, 2016. The 2017 Application for CDBG Funding will be available online at www.wycokck.org or by calling (913) 573-5100 or at the Community Development Department office. The Unified Government requests applications for the following CDBG eligible activities: Section A – Public Services; Section B – Public Facilities & Improvements; Section C – Acquisition/Rehabilitation or Reconstruction of Existing Housing; and Section D – Economic Development.
